Spline Broaches Manufacturer
Spline broaches are used to create a splined shaft, which is a type of smooth, sturdy drive mechanism that allows for the transfer of torque.
Feature of Spline Broaches
- High precision: The cutting teeth of the round broach are precision machined to ensure that the machined inner hole has high dimensional accuracy and shape accuracy.
- High efficiency: multiple processing steps of the inner hole can be completed in one broaching, greatly shortening the processing time.
- Strong adaptability: can process workpieces of various materials, including steel, cast iron, aluminum alloy, etc.
- Long tool life: Using high-quality tool materials and advanced manufacturing processes, the round broach has high wear resistance and strength, and can maintain good cutting performance for a long time.
Type Of Spline Broaches
- Rectangular spline broach
Used for processing rectangular spline holes or shafts. - Involute spline broaches
Processing of involute splines. - 3. Triangular spline broaches
Suitable for processing triangular splines. - 4. Spiral spline broaches
Used for processing spiral splines.
Manufacturing Process Of Spline Broaches
1. Material selection
Materials with high hardness, high wear resistance and good toughness such as high-speed steel and cemented carbide are usually used. High-speed steel is suitable for general-precision broaches, while carbide is used for processing high-precision, high-hardness materials.
2. Blank preparation
Forging: The raw materials are made into the rough shape of the broach through the forging process, improving the internal structure of the material and improving the performance of the material.
3. Mechanical processing
Process the blank by turning, milling, or other processes to eliminate surplus and form the broach.Dimensional precision, form accuracy, and surface roughness of the broach satisfy design requirements due to fine grinding, polishing, and other processing of the cutter teeth.
4. Heat treatment
Quench the broach to improve its hardness and wear resistance. The broach after quenching must be tempered to eliminate quenching stress, stabilize the structure, and improve toughness.
5. Surface treatment
In order to improve the wear resistance, corrosion resistance and cutting performance of the broach, a hard coating can be applied to the surface of the broach, and the broach can be treated with anti-rust treatment to prevent rust during storage and transportation.
6. Quality inspection
The dimensional accuracy, shape accuracy, hardness, and surface quality of the broach are tested to ensure the quality of the broach. Choose appropriate packaging materials for packaging of qualified broaches.
